I stumbled upon this 2015 Color Forecast released by an Australian paint company last night. Take a moment to absorb the images in this post – beautifully shot, aren’t they? – and then click through to my sketch book profiles about these color palettes. Seems that even though we’re on the opposite side of the planet that somehow we are on the same page, doesn’t it?Coral, Salmon and Peachy-Orange AKA ‘Exotic Botanic’
“The hypnotic color palette of this theme creates great depth and affluence, revitalising even the simplest of spaces.”Neutrals AKA ‘Raw’
“This natural palette is very subdued, generating an ethereal atmosphere with warm brown and cream tones forming the perfect base for any interior styling.”Greens AKA ‘Rhythmic Palms’ (Decorating with Green, Interior Design Obsession: Green)
“Capturing and exaggerating the scale of the environment to make a real statement in the home, playing on obvious motifs with oversized patterns and saturated colors to truly encapsulate the jungle feel; instinctual and primitive.”The only theme I haven’t written about yet is called ‘New Skin.’ (Though I must admit, it looks pretty neutral to me!)
“Inspired by the familiarity and comfort that ones gets from their favorite pair of jeans – a feeling of a second skin. providing an easy living, understated style, naturally constructing a sense of relaxation and tranquility in any home.”Images and Color Theme Descriptions via Yellowtrace.
