As you might remember, I went for rustic when we were doing the main floor of the country house – no pigment, lots of trowel marks and variation in monotone white and grey color – and then the epoxy failed and turned yellow two weeks before our scheduled move in date. THAT is how we ended up with very easy to clean but white as bleached teeth floors in our Country House. GAH! It may not be the most realistic for Country Life, but I wouldn’t change it – it’s so gorgeous. The good news is I can always spot a giant spider as it scurries across the floor!Well, I guess you could say the same goes for ABCDdesign. As you might see (if you’re viewing the site on the internet) we have a whole new and fresh look just in time for Fall! HOORAY! It’s something I have been dreaming and scheming about for the last two years. I finally decided it was time to make the jump. The transfer to the new design happened last night and it didn’t go as smoothly as one would hope. I’m not worried though – soon I will love it as much as I adore the gleaming white floors. I have got Our (amazingly talented) Website Lady working on smoothing out the kinks. If you notice anything wonky on the site over the next few days, please don’t be discouraged. Everything will be working as it was originally intended very soon!I based the original layout of ABCDdesign off of the website I designed for my custom stationery business. Now that ABCD Designs Bespoke Stationery is defunct and the website is no more – why not change up the look ABCD? As you will see, I have paired down the number of fonts I use, it’s got a cool instagram feed across the top of the main page, and all the contents that used to muddle up the sidebar are now highly edited and placed at the bottom of the post. Nice, no?
