Just yesterday, I was waxing on about how much I still like brass, and then I stumbled upon this free standing Brass Kitchen Island on Pinterest. Here you see it featured at Style Me Pretty Living, in what must be a very dark space. (Just look at how many lights are on in the photo and how grey it looks outside the window.) They’ve certainly figured out how to brighten things up – omgosh that white La Cornue Range is so over the top luxe – but what really caught my eye is that handsome island. How perfect would it be for flower arranging!?!The drawers would hold cutting tools and floral wire, the open shelves would be a perfect rack for newly cleaned glass flower vessels, and the bottom could serve as additional storage for specialty containers that I use less often. Sign.Me.Up! I currently have no where to put it besides our barn (our kitchen is about 6 feet wide from counter to counter, and you really need at least three feet for a walkway) but this table is the sort of thing that I’d want to snatch up before it is too late. I could see using it long after the brass trend has passed.
