There are not knick-nacks or pottery cachepots full of cooking utensils on my kitchen counter. There is nothing wrong with that look, but I am the kind of gal who likes a super orderly, sparse counter top. I want to be able to quickly and easily move whatever is sitting there to clean beneath it. I do however make a few exceptions in this case. For one, since I do not have a window over my kitchen sink I always want a bud vase with fresh flowers somewhere in view. And to the left of my kitchen sink I always have a ceramic tray that holds hand lotion, hand soap, counter top cleaner and dish soap for easy access with messy hands or dishes. (You remember this fabulous owl tray that came from the guys at Hunter Bee, right?) Up until recently I have kept a mishmash of products in that tray. But the last few weeks, I have been enjoying beautiful packaging and delicious scents provided by The Good Home Co.They sent me a care package full of their newest scent. It’s called Summer House. This line has the notes of lemon and verbena in it. It should go without saying that I love the look of the bottles. And the zesty, bright scent has been soothing these long, grey Winter days that we have been having. After a few weeks of washing my dishes in Summer House, The Good Home Co. and I got an idea…I’m excited to announce that The Good Home Co. and ABCD have joined forces for a little mid-Winter pick me up! To start, I’ve written a guest post on the Good Home Co. blog: 5 Tips for Designing a Successful Tabletop. We are also throwing a super-fun Pinterest contest that is right up my alley. It’s called #TheInspiredTable, where we’re asking you all to design a tablescape around your favorite Good Home Co. scent. Housekeeping AND Tablescapes – I may have gone to my own little lemon-verbena scented Heaven!By the way: did you know The Good Home Co. offers custom fragrances in their eco-friendly cleaning and body products? I didn’t realize it either until a few weeks ago when I wanted my counter top tray to include lemon verbena hand lotion and it’s not currently part of the line. They offer seasonal treats like spiced apple cider, but also a whole host of others. How cool is that? Please join in the FUN!
