Between all the work that is still being done on the house, and our travel schedule over the next few weeks it seemed silly to put a tree up this year. So last night, I bought about 20 feet of long needle pine roping, wrapped it in blue lights and called it a day. The tin Santa is from Pier 1. So is the glitter LED flameless candle. I have to admit, the LEDs have come a long way. This candle is made of real paraffin wax, and (unless you get up really close and look inside) it looks as though it’s the real deal.I am happy to say that I have most of my holiday shopping done. Do you? It doesn’t ever take me long. I usually spend one day and get most everyone on my list. This year, I have truly enjoyed my popping around NYC in my glittery Nini K hat. It’s about 10 years old at this point –but I swear– if I had a dollar for everyone who asked me where I got it, I could pay for all the holiday presents I buy each year. These glittery pretties would make a wonderful gift for someone who likes a bit of sparkle!I don’t know about you, but I am still struggling with my Dad’s Christmas present. I always have a hard time with his gift. What does one buy for the men – besides a new sweater and socks? I am trying to figure out something smart. But time is wasting…I do know that one of the coolest things we did this year was send all our cds away to Rip Digital. They converted my entire collection of Christmas music (and the rest of my cds) into digital format and loaded it onto both an external hard drive and an ipod for me. If only I had access to Dad’s cd collection without him knowing!
Tell me, what are you buying the fella’s this year?
