Last night was a smashing success! I think it’s pretty fabulous that everything fell into place the way it did. The New Traditionalists were ever so generous to offer their handsome showroom for this get together. They hired a mixologist who was stirring up fizzy ginger-vodka concoctions and fruity gin goodness. The music was lively. The ambience was perfect.
Starting at 7:30 am, Jonathan and I met in the flower market and then worked together to design the arrangements. They were so lovely – if I do say so myself! We were both in love with the bails of turning Autumn leaves at the market, so we used them as the jumping off point for our color scheme. We added variegatedred to yellow tulips, roses, and amazing little yellow berries. Michele Varian was kind enough to loan us gorgeous glass containers from her store for the flowers. The biggest hit was the gigantic owl who welcomed the guests at the front door.
Dunes and Duchess were at the event to present a glossy white candelabra to the lucky winner at the end of the night. Congratulations to D. Bryant Archie who walked home with the prize! Photographer Jesse Winter was on hand to catch every moment of the evening. Jonathan and I are sorting out the 1000 + shots that were taken and plan to post more throughout next week. Stay tuned, and happy weekend!
