Yep, that’s a Dash and Albert indoor/outdoor rug you see featured in our mud room! I think it looks great with the white beadboard, and the walls and ceiling which are painted Benjamin Moore HC-171, aka Wickham Gray. I mentioned earlier this year that I planned to get back into knitting more. I like how this project turned out, so I thought I’d share. This Chevron Cable Tote Bag is knitted with Manos Del Uruguay kettle dyed wool. I purchased the Bamboo Handles at M & J Trim. If you’re interested in designing your own knitwear, I highly suggest A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G. Walker. It’s just about the only pattern book I have ever worked from since I started knitting back in 1994. I used the cable chevron pattern for this design which happens to be one of my personal favorite patterns to knit.
Inspiration is everywhere! I awoke one morning a few weeks ago after thumbing through a book of fairy tales I found in our moving boxes. I was I thinking about Rapunzel and started knitting a hat with ear flaps so long that would make me look like her – sort of – winkwink! That pretty project is about ready to come off the needles and I’ll be sure to share the finished product soon.
Have an inspired week!!
