Can you believe that it’s nearly April 10th? When Lydia and I planned this screening of Handmade Nation, the event seemed so far off in the future… but here we are, and it’s nearly sold out! At last check, we had room to squeeze in one or two more to the list of attendees. Tickets for the matinee and cocktail hour can be purchased here.

A little story about why New York City isn’t such a big city afterall:
As luck would have it, at about noon yesterday I had the chance to speak with Alix from the New York Design Center on the phone. When we were about to get off the line, she mentioned she had to run because she had an appointment in Soho. I said “Funny you should say that – I am on my way there to meet Mr. D.” I took the 4/5 train uptown and missed the transfer at Brooklyn Bridge because I was busy typing an email. Whoops!!
Unfortunately I ended up in Union Square where I had to switch to the downtown 6 train to get back to Soho. I stepped into the train, sat down to continue my email response and when I looked up — there was Alex sitting right next to me! I had stepped on to the very same train car she was riding from mid-town!! Really, what are the chances? It’s a small world, indeed! The New York Junior League is hosting it’s 15th annual Spring House Tour. The day of events includes breakfast, a silent auction, a buffet brunch at the A & D building, apartment open houses and a cocktail reception. Tickets are $85.00 and can be purchased through the New York Junior League.P.S. If you’re interested, I posted a 1 year anniversary (of sorts) personal update on EAD Living yesterday. Please feel free to pop by, check it out and don’t hesitate to chime in if you’ve got suggestions for me!
